Claim a Mantle Bridge withdrawal on Ethereum

To claim a Mantle withdrawal on Ethereum, wait until the bridge marks it ready, then submit the claim transaction from the wallet that initiated it. The withdrawal starts on Mantle, where it uses MNT for gas; the final claim happens on Ethereum and requires ETH for gas.

The two steps make a withdrawal different from a deposit: initiating it does not immediately put funds in your Ethereum wallet. For a closer look at how withdrawal routes differ, see Mantle Bridge. Mantle’s official bridge FAQ says withdrawals can take up to 12 hours, though the time can vary.

Why is my Mantle withdrawal not ready to claim?

The bridge must process the withdrawal and complete its challenge period before the Ethereum claim becomes available. Keep the transaction hash and check the withdrawal’s status in the bridge interface; a submitted request is not proof that the claim is ready. Mantle’s FAQ describes the wait as part of the optimistic rollup process.

How do I claim the withdrawal on Ethereum?

When the status shows the withdrawal is ready, connect the same wallet and switch it to Ethereum Mainnet. Open the pending withdrawal in the bridge’s history or status view, choose the claim action, review the transaction details and submit it in your wallet. The claim releases the funds on Ethereum; it is a separate on-chain transaction.

Before you submit, check that the wallet address matches the one used to withdraw and that you have enough ETH to cover Ethereum gas. The bridge cannot use the funds waiting to be claimed to pay that fee.

What do I need before starting the withdrawal?

Have the right gas token on each network and keep a record of the withdrawal transaction. Mantle’s FAQ specifies MNT for initiating a withdrawal and ETH for claiming on Ethereum. Check these items before you start:

  • The wallet holds the asset you intend to withdraw on Mantle.
  • You have MNT available on Mantle for the withdrawal transaction.
  • You can access the same wallet on Ethereum and have ETH there for the claim fee.
  • You have saved the withdrawal transaction hash so you can find and track the request.

What if I close the bridge before claiming?

Return to the bridge with the same wallet and look up the existing withdrawal in its history or status view. If it is still processing, wait until it is ready; if it is ready, submit the claim on Ethereum. Starting another withdrawal does not complete the first one.
