How to Check a Relay Bridge Quote Before Sending
Compare the destination amount, fees, route, expiry and token details in a bridge quote, then verify the wallet prompt before approving or sending.

Check the destination amount, fees, route and token details in a relay bridge quote before approving a token or sending funds. The displayed output is an estimate; the amount that arrives can depend on the route and the quote’s terms.
What should a bridge quote show?
Read the source and destination networks, the asset on each side, the amount to send and the estimated amount to receive. Confirm that the destination token is the one you intend to hold; tokens with similar names can have different contract addresses.
Check how the quote accounts for costs. Network gas, a bridge or service fee, and any exchange between assets may appear as separate line items or be reflected in the output amount. Compare the final estimated receipt, not just a headline exchange rate.
Routes can differ in how they move assets and complete transfers. For a comparison of four relay bridge route types, read the route guide; the quote itself should identify the route selected for your transfer.
How do you compare two quotes?
Compare quotes for the same source amount, networks and destination asset. Then check these details:
- Estimated receipt: The amount expected at the destination, after listed fees.
- Minimum received: Any lower bound shown if the quote allows the output to vary.
- Expiry: How long the displayed terms remain valid before a refresh is needed.
- Route and timing: The path shown and any stated estimate for completion.
A higher estimated receipt may come with different route or timing terms. If the screen does not explain a fee, minimum output or route, pause and look for that information before proceeding.
What should you verify in the wallet?
Before signing, check that the wallet is on the source network and that the token and amount match the quote. If the wallet asks for token approval, inspect which token and spending permission it names; an approval permits a contract to access tokens, while the transfer itself is a separate action.
Review the transaction destination and any amount or fee shown in the wallet. The wallet prompt is the final check on what you are authorizing, so stop if its details differ from the quote or the expected transfer.
After sending, use the bridge interface or transaction record to check the transfer’s status. Keep the destination network and asset details available until the funds arrive.
