xStocks tops $1 billion in assets under management

Payward said xStocks surpassed $1 billion in assets under management on Oct. 27, as the tokenized equities platform expanded to more than 1,500 assets across global markets. The company reported the milestone in its announcement on xStocks’ AUM and expansion, published Oct. 28.

What is behind the AUM milestone?

Payward said xStocks’ AUM had more than quadrupled from roughly $225 million in February 2026. The platform reported more than $45 billion in cumulative transaction volume, over 550,000 holders and more than $100 million in xStocks deployed in decentralized finance.

AUM can change with asset prices as well as activity on the platform; Payward did not break down how much of the increase came from new purchases. Its figures describe activity across the xStocks ecosystem, which launched in June 2025 with 60 tokenized U.S.-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds on Solana.

What do the tokens represent?

xStocks are blockchain tokens backed one-to-one by publicly traded assets, according to Payward. The company says they provide price exposure only and do not confer voting or dividend rights. Holders can transfer them between supported platforms and use them in some decentralized finance protocols.

How far has the platform expanded?

Payward said the ecosystem now spans more than 10 blockchains and includes tokenized stocks, ETFs and IPO exposure across the U.S., U.K., Europe and Hong Kong. Russell 1000 constituent tokens are also live, extending coverage to an index representing about 93% of U.S. equity market capitalization, the company said.

xStocks is unavailable to investors in the U.S. and U.K., and other geographic restrictions apply, according to Payward. The company said it plans to expand distribution through financial applications and is working with Nasdaq and the London Stock Exchange on market infrastructure.
